Description: Introducing Eelke, a one-of-a-kind large table lamp lovingly handcrafted from a gorgeous, vintage, hand-painted Velsen (another very well regarded Dutch … more Introducing Eelke, a one-of-a-kind large table lamp lovingly handcrafted from a gorgeous, vintage, hand-painted Velsen (another very well regarded Dutch pottery) Delft Blue ( Delfts Blauw ) vase. Eelke, named after the co-founder of Velsen, is paired with a custom contemporary lampshade in a luxurious off-white sandshell satin, with a platinum inner lining made in an atelier near Amsterdam. The exquisite vase (or pul ), which forms the base of the lamp, was handmade and hand-painted by one of Velsen’s master painters in a floral motif with a peacock. It was made circa 1940-1970, as indicated by the marking on the bottom. Height: 70 cm (27.6 in) with lampshade Width: 42 cm (16.5 in) with lampshade E27 bulb fitting.
