Aldo Tura designed this wonderful item in Milan, Italy, during the 1950s for a Macabo production. The piece shows fantastic craftsmanship as the inner and insulating element is handmade with glass and walnut wood and then covered in vitrified goatskin with a fantastic color. The contrast between the brass and the goatskin is incredibly elegant. A fantastic item that will enhance and donate charm to a mid-century project. Dimensions in cm: Depth - 12 Width - 15 Height - 31 Aldo Tura was an Italian furniture designer best known for his mid-century tables and lamps. Combining his interest in Art Deco and Art Nouveau with the minimalist, low-key design of the 1940s and 1950s, he often used unusual materials such as parchment, eggshell and goatskin, often employing wheels and casters in his projects. Born in 1909, Tura began manufacturing his signature furniture in the 1930s, focusing on limited production of handcrafted designs produced within the confines of traditional craftsmanship. Tura died in 1963 and earned the nickname "parchment master" for his use of the material. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
