This rug was designed to capture the spirit of one fine day in August, biking through the fields of Alentejo at dusk. Brushing up against wildflowers bathed in soft, cool tones while the moon is shining bright for the night. In the morning, the wildflowers will go back to their warm, sun-tanned selves.
The Blue Moon rug is hand-knotted with a vintage distressed finish, made in Pakistan. This finish is something Ward + Gray have spent many years perfecting - the distressing is all done by hand with irregularity to feel time-worn and authentic, as though the same furniture has moved across it over the years. For these rugs we use hand-spun Ghazni wool which comes from Afghanistan and is known for its luster.
