This Marc Chagall vintage 1947 rare limited edition French lithograph print " Devenir Flamme Rouge Et Chaude " 1945, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The authentic lithograph print is printed in France in 1947 by Les editions Du Chene Paris, as part of a French portfolio of limited edition lithograph prints titled " Chagall Peintures 1942 - 1945 ". The vintage lithograph print features an original artwork created by Chagall in 1945 titled " Devenir Flamme Rouge et Chaude ".
Marc Chagall ( 1887 - 1985 ) the French Russian born Jewish Expressionist artist is known for both his sense of color and his fluid aesthetic. His early Modernist artworks explore concepts and themes of spirituality, angelic influences, and the Jewish cultural life human experience. Chagall is commonly regarded as the quintessential preeminent jewish artist of The 20th Century. His mastery of the expressive language of color, and creations in nearly every medium and form of art won him recognition as a leading figure in world Modern Art.
The lithograph print plate measures 8 1/2" W X 11" H, on a page that is 11" W X 15" H. The print is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on 2 corners. behind the print plate on the page os the title, date, and size of the original artwork.
The vintage limited edition print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference.
