Color and textures may slightly differ depending on devices, and remain unique for each creation since the handcrafted features and natural materials of this object. “arabescato orobico” marble stands between the most precious italian ornamental stones, characterised by rich chromatic contrasts, from grey to orange and pink arabesque-like stripes, which overlay and merge, creating organic and outstanding patterns. In this table lighting, the marble is handcrafted, respecting and exalting its texture, juxtaposed to a transparent crystal shade, hosting extra-thin and translucent geometries porcelain. The delicate and warm downlight enriches the most sophisticated interior, adding the sophisticated touch of a statement piece. This diffuser hangs from a thin squared brass tubular, with a satin golden finish, suspended above a minimal plate, reflecting the coming light and contributing to creating a magic atmosphere. This elegant object is the result of high handcrafts, thanks to the employment of exclusive materials and local ancient techniques such as crystal grinding, porcelain mould-production and marble chiselling. For the lamp/two collection, our mission was bringing the light a step closer, keeping the previous lamp/one collection’s curated material selection and high-end crafts techniques as a leitmotiv. As a result, solid calacatta marble, canaletto walnut wood and satin brass are juxtaposed to and high-lighted by a minimal structure, realized through the employment of hidden joinery, unveiling only the intersections between sober surfaces and sought-after textures. In this collection the sleek brass squared tubular, enriched by the golden nuance of a satin hand-finish, designs the silhouettes of these refined table lights. These orthogonal elements gently suspend the body lamp on a brass base, which soflty reflects the coming downlight into the surrounding space. Similarly to lamp/one collection, the precious body lamp stands at the centre of the attention. The delicacy of a crystal shade, almost invisible in the dark, unveils extra-thin limoges porcelain geometries. These translucid and ephemeral biscuit layers provide sophisticated and unexpected plays of light when touched by the coming down-light. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
