Fashioned of solid brass, some of which is copper-plated and patinated, this iconic lamp stands about 19 ½ inches tall, including the finial. The weighted, brass-clad base measures about six inches in diameter, giving the lamp a solid and visually substantial foundation. The shade has an ample size of 14 inches in diameter.

As you can see, there is some compromise to the bronze patina on the top of the shade, and some minor damage to the brass itself (creases, small dents).

This lamp is particularly well suited to be positioned on a desk or other workplace, as the light is nicely diffused and any size bulb (with a standard-sized base) can be employed (note the last picture). Some light comes through the space between the bottom and top parts of the shade, a standard arrangement for this type of machine age lamp. The wiring appears to be original and in good working condition, as is the toggle switch on the base.
