Description: Molded in the classic Montereau octagonal with beading around the rim, the plates themselves date to the 19th century.

Later overglaze paintings of allegorical figures (perhaps of life and love, and loss) in the Regency style appear in the well of each plate. Some plates also show an overglaze "made in France" on the back of the plate.

Perfect for a wall grouping and display. Not ideally suited for use as a plate as the overglazed painting is susceptible to damage by utensils. less
