vintage Berber red Moroccan rug with diamond pattern and modern tribal style. This hand-knotted wool vintage Berber red Moroccan rug features an allover diamond pattern and modern tribal style. The Berber Moroccan rug is composed of rows of diamonds outlined in ivory in alternating colors on a vibrant red background. On one end, three thin charcoal colored lines create a half border along the outside of the red Moroccan rug. The ancient Berber tribe symbolism combined with the primitive charm in this tribal rug conjure the spirit of morocco. In ancient Berber rug-making, the diamond shape is known to represent the prediction of a pregnancy and invoke the power of femininity and reproduction. Rendered in variegated shades of ruby red, scarlet red, charcoal, black, dark gray, persimmon, pumpkin, orange, pistachio and ivory. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool. Made in morocco.
