Offered is a set of Danish staved and lathed Teak wood salad bowls designed by Jens H. Quistgaard for Dansk in the early 1960s. The set includes a large serving bowl, and 6 matching individual salad bowls. The line of this design is very clean and modernist, with the base slightly wider than the top at a subtle angle. The grain is very taut and linear implying the wood stems from the base of the tree, and the color is a rich golden chestnut - images taken in natural daylight. All pieces bear an early Dansk Designs Denmark JHQ logo.
Larger bowl measures 10.375" diameter, 11.375" base diameter, 4.375" deep
Small Bowls measure 5.375" diameter, 5.625" base diameter, 1.625" deep less
