Fabulous early 18th century ox cart wagon wheel hub from East Asia that has been converted into a striking lamp. The cylinder that connects the base with the shade is extremely heavy and has hand carved vertical slats that allow the light through and give the fixture a "lantern effect". The 16" diameter cone shaped, hand adzed, wooden shade fits securely onto the lamp with a thick round peg and is made from a different type of wood that has a slightly more red hue than the ebonized brown base, which creates a nice contrast. A wonderful way to add a rustic element to one's abode!
Dimensions: 16"w x 16"d x 25"h Base= 9" in diameter
Note: Make sure to use a bulb narrow enough for the cylinder to fit onto the base without breaking the bulb! less
