It is a tall table lamp that is reminiscent of the futuristic designs of the mid-century period. It is a reflectant metal, almost like polished chrome, inlaid with a mosaic of small pieces of mother-of-pearl. And the drum shade is included. The shade has no stains or snags. There is a very small bit of rust on the base that you can see in the picture. It measures 31" high. The diameter of the base is 8" and the diameter of the shade is 16". Harp and finial are included. Its a very elegant piece that would make a nice focal point in any room. less
