Moritz vase, Lino Sabattini design for Sabattini silverware, in silver metal and glass base. Origin Italy period 90s designers Lino Sabattini (1925-2016) was born in Correggio (Reggio Emilia) on September 23, 1925 from simple and laborious people. \. just fourteen year old finds work in Como in a workshop of trivial brass objects. It is not a random choice. Soon he happens in his hands a number of "Domus", the magazine of Gio ’Ponti. He becomes his textbook, his Bible, his school by correspondence. In the workshop of brass objects he earns a living, but also learns the metal processing technique. \. Sabattini now thirty -year -old leaves Blevio to move to Milan where he plants, in a basement, a small laboratory with the tools essential to his work. The ties with "Domus" intensify. Now he also knows young architects, students students of Gio 'Ponti. One of these brings to the master some metal object created by the young craftsman. One day Ponti introduces himself to his door. Look, it's up to an idea to develop. Only three days pass and Sabattini ends the work. Bridges is thrilled. Thus begins the relationship of friendship marked by fundamental stages \. from 1958 to 1963 he worked in Paris and Milan for the famous Christofle house unnecessarily trying to sweep away productions without a soul.
