Rare original period antique print after watercolor portrait of Prince Francis of Teck (the second son of the Duke of Teck and brother of Queen Mary) by Mortimer Menpes. Print has a gold leaf top edge and comes with the original title page. Mortimer Luddington Menpes (1855-1938) was an Australian-born artist, author, printmaker and illustrator. Menpes painted in oil and watercolour as well as being a prolific printmaker, producing over 700 etchings and drypoints during his career to great acclaim. London, 1901.
This original period antique print, like all other prints after paintings of Mortimer Menpes created by Menpes himself.
