The base is … more Here is a wonderful, antique Britannia table that is perfect as a bistro, center or side table. The base is made from heavy, cast iron and has beautiful, figurative designs throughout. Along each leg, there is a female figure that is holding a British shield, while each of the sides has a lion head. The legs culminate in wonderful lion's feet. It has a great antique patina to the iron making it more deep brown in color vs black. The top of the table is made of wood with a subtle wood grain and border edge. Table is very solid and would work well indoors or out. Made in the late 19th c, approx. 1880's. less
