This unique majolica piece features a young boy standing in front of a large budding soft pink Tulip plant forming a flower vase. The design is very detailed, for example, the pink on the inside of his coat picks up on the pink of the tulip petals, like the yellow of his waistcoat matches the yellow at the center of the bloom! This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks, or cracks.

Art Nouveau is an ornamental style of art which originated in France and flourished between about 1890 and 1910 throughout Europe. Art Nouveau is characterized by its use of a long, sinuous, and organic lines, as demonstrated so beautifully with this delicate vase. It is made from thick Majolica porcelain, giving this piece a nice weight to it.
