According to the japanese tradition, the year is divided into 24 periods and 72 kos, each one representing one of the small transitions that the nature undergoes during a year. This
theme, created by ginette caron, represents the geishi or "midsummer" period, from the 27th of june to the 6th of july.
the ko here portrayed is ayame hana saku.
