Pena is … Read more Late 20th Century limited edition chromolithograph entitled "Tres Hermanas" by artist Amado Maurillo Pena (American, Arizona, b. 1943). Pena is known for his boldness in color, form, and composition as well as his celebration of the strength of Native people of the Southwest. He is of Mexican and Yaqui heritage and a known Artisan of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona. This work is limited edition 17/60 and is signed, titled, numbered, and custom framed. The framed size is 34.75" tall x 28.5" wide with a sheet size of 25.5" tall x 19.625" wide. Sunset hues of rich corals, purples, pinks, and burnt orange are complimented by bold turquoise details in this composition featuring three native stylized female figures facing right with a juxtaposed horizontal sky in the background.
