The pieces has human-like expressions, with an interaction between hard and soft in a very bodily way. Each piece is crafted by hand from local ash wood, with its unique color, grain, and ring pattern adding a distinct character to the design. Wood is a very special material. Most of the hardwood could easily be a few hundred years old and each piece has a sense of time locked within it. Even after the piece is finished the material keeps on changing and aging, shrinking and expanding, in reaction to its environment. " less
