- Fabulous set of four vintage 1960's faux bamboo barrel back arm chairs. Perfect for the gaming table, the breakfast nook … more Fabulous set of four vintage 1960's faux bamboo barrel back arm chairs. Perfect for the gaming table, the breakfast nook or anytime you need extra seating. Very solid high quality construction, made in America in the 1960's by Century Chair Company (now Century Furniture) in Hickory NC. Super comfortable. These chairs were reupholstered in the 1980's which is when the caster wheels were added. There is an older layer of cambric dust fabric still present underneath the newer layer. Seats are done in a striped velour type fabric which is in good clean condition. Colors are sage, cream, rust, gold and salmon. Each chair comes with a matching small pillow. Front legs have wood fretwork on two sides. Super sturdy, no breaks, nor repairs. These chairs are great just the way they are, but they would also be absolutely wonderful in a glossy lacquer finish. Faux bamboo furniture mixes well with so many styles. less
