The … Read more This is for a beautiful rare Hungarian collectible Sterling Silver (925) heavy guaged / hand Chased Passover Seder plate. The plate is marked on the back that this weighs 614 Gr (I weighed it at 604) and also states this was crafted in Hungary. The dating of creation would be in the first quarter of the 20th century per similar hand crafted Seder plates in museum collections and sold from Estate collections.
The center of the plate is decorated with Hebrew lettering while there are outer panels with flowers, pomegranates, fruit. This Sterling Silver large tray measures: 13.5 inches in diameter (34.29 cm) with a height of .75 inches.
The rare nature of the piece is for the true collector of historical Judaica pieces and surely needs a special place to be displayed and enjoyed for years to come.
