This piece, made in pewter between the late 19th and early 20th century, presents a beautiful representation of a lady's face that seems to emerge from the water amidst waves that merge with her long hair.
The woman as "femme fatale" is a well-known and recurring theme of the Art Nouveau style.
This piece is especially rare as the Holland Urania factory was not active for many years.
The worn patina gives it an even more authentic and charming look.
Marked "HOLLAND URANIA" and numbered 1323.
