The piece is structurally solid, the overall finish is very even and still has a nice sheen. This collection had some distressing to the finish, but the top seems in terrific condition. No watermarks or discoloration. Doors and drawers work properly, any noticeable wear or concerns are photographed and documented in the description. The Artefacts collection by Henredon Furniture was introduced in … more Here is a wonderful example of high end contemporary 1970’s furniture. The Artefacts collection by Henredon Furniture was introduced in the early 1970’s and took influences from campaign style pieces popular at the time. This stunning, solid, sideboard/credenza is made out of knotty oak solids and veneers. Behind the 4 carved panel doors there are three drawers on the left and an adjustable shelf on the right. Overall it measures 74” wide by 19” deep by 31” high and is easily movable on its 4 original casters. Overall this sideboard/credenza is in terrific condition showing below average wear for it’s age. It is structurally sound, there is some swelling separation of a joint on one of the doors (pictured) and a corner of edge banding separating from the back (pictured) and both would be an easy DIY repair for anyone. Neither of these seem to impact the structural integrity of the piece. The skirt on the left facing side has some corner “vacuum” wear and an area about the size of a quarter where the finish is rubbed off. They both are smooth to the touch so there is no wood damage. We would use this in an office, dining room, or as a TV stand and it would definitely be a statement piece for the home.
