Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai shiliuzun, a pomegranate shape vase with a white glazed interior and inset base and sky … Read more Chinese porcelain Da Ya Zhai shiliuzun, a pomegranate shape vase with a white glazed interior and inset base and sky blue glazed exterior, covered with very fine, small pattern, iron wire craquelure. The top petals are trimmed in gold, the neck is decorated with five, polychrome, floral medallions amid leafy vines, ending in a band of umber, cloud and thunder meanders on a yellow ground covered with very fine, small pattern, iron wire craquelure, and bracketed by thin, red, trim circles above and below. The body of the vase is decorated with branching chrysanthemums, plum flowers, orchids and peonies, all in a finely detailed and shaded grisaille painting technique. A red, Da Ya Zhai mark and a red and white, Tian Di Yi Jia Chun medallion with gold highlights is glazed on the shoulder of the vase. A red and white, Yong Qing Chan Chun, Guangxu era mark is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, Chinese, traditional, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era.
