The globe features an illuminated acrylic glass sphere which is hand-coated with a so-called 'duplex' print world map. 'duplex' symbolizes a two-in-one principle: non-illuminated, the map shows a political map, illuminated the print additionally reveals a physical image with topography and seemingly three-dimensional elevations. As this globe is from the 1980s the map shows for example western germany, the gdr as well as the sowjet union. The stand globe has a minimalist design metal tube frame. The illuminated sphere rotates in a stainless steel meridian. There is a foot switch on cable. This light object is suitable for e14 40w light bulbs and provides a soft light with warm light colors.
