Description: This illuminated floor globe is an iconic lighting object manufactured during the the 1980s by columbus paul oestergaard, the world's … more This illuminated floor globe is an iconic lighting object manufactured during the the 1980s by columbus paul oestergaard, the world's oldest globe manufacturer, founded in 1909 in berlin, germany. The globe features an illuminated acrylic glass sphere which is hand-coated with a so-called 'duplex' print world map. 'duplex' symbolizes a two-in-one principle: non-illuminated, the map shows a political map, illuminated the print additionally reveals a physical image with topography and seemingly three-dimensional elevations. As this globe is from the 1980s the map shows for example western germany, the gdr as well as the sowjet union. The stand globe has a minimalist design metal tube frame. The illuminated sphere rotates in a stainless steel meridian. There is a foot switch on cable. This light object is suitable for e14 40w light bulbs and provides a soft light with warm light colors. This piece has an attribution mark,
