It refers to white weapons. Weapons were always present in the designer's family home. The designer was inspired by a story from his childhood when he was staying at his grandfather's house. Late one evening, the phone rang at home. It turned out that a burglar alarm had gone off at the neighbor's house, which automatically made such calls. Jan garncarek's grandfather then took out a flute (a sword) and went to deal with the burglar. However, he escaped. The lamp is supposed to relate to a spear with which one could defend oneself in case of need. In fact, the elongated part of the lamp is not so easily removable, serving more as a symbol. Jan garncarek is an important contemporary designer, graduated from the academy of fine arts in warsaw. He gained extra qualifications at politecnico di milano. He has acquired professional experience in the design society. He took part in projects such as: design of visual information for the museum of the history of polish jews, interior design project of the polish cultural institute in tel aviv, space arrangement of the presidential palace of poland, interior design project of the polish embassy in berlin and skopje, modernization of the malachowski's square in warsaw. His process of designing is the state of researching, discovering and being curious of the world, making insightful observations and drawing sensible conclusions. All our lamps can be wired according to each country. If sold to the usa it will be wired for the usa for instance. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
