Known as Avignon chairs featuring large carved beech wood frames in the French baroque taste. Decorated with rocaille shell and acanthus carved motifs. Heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The wood has an intentionally aged, distressed patina to mimic the age of 18th century pieces. The finish has old glazed paint remnants and amazing parcel gilt accents throughout. Each chair has generous seats with different stripe pattern upholstery and patinated brass tack nail heads.
