Offered is a vintage Dansk Designs brand modernist tiger animal figure silver electroplated on zinc paperweight designed for the company by Gunnar Cyrén circa the early 1980s.
A Swedish glass artist, silversmith, and industrial designer (1931-2013), Gunnar Cyrén worked for Dansk during the 1970s and later created a series of these silver-plated animals that became highly collectible because of their attractive minimalist stylized forms.
It bears its hallmark stamped on a felt-bottomed underside "DANSK DESIGNS - JAPAN - GC (for Gunnar Cyrén).
The tiger measures: 1.25" W x 4" D x 2.75" H
