A beautiful, likely English, Empire style shaving stand in mahogany with rotating/tilting round mirror and drawer compartment.
Shows wonderful age and patina and fog someone who cherishes the antiquity of the piece. Some veneer chips, finish imperfections and evidence of old repairs from it’s long life. Has a lead pipe weight in the base which functioned as a counterbalance with pulley for lifting or lowering the mirror. That function no longer works however the weight adds stability to the stand which is already quite solid and sturdy.
