Beautiful, exotic, bronze finish, cast sculptural elephant side table with a braided rope halo support structure terminating in decorative tassels, surmounted on its back to hold the glass table top.
One of a kind with lush and lustrous, painted metallic gold accents on the tassels, tusks and the ball that the majestic elephant holds under one knee. Cast from an intricately carved original with a fancy caparison saddle blanket covering it's back and sides. Vintage piece from the 1980s. The "Made In" sticker is faded but other identical tables online have similar stickers that say "Made In The Philippines".
Cast solid in a hard Resin with some metal in the halo structure and legs bolted to the base, it is heavy at around 30 lbs. There are almost identical versions of this table online that are made of bronze for the elephant and wood for the base that weigh and cost three times as much as this one. I have seen similar cast resin elephant tables like this one, without the gold accents, being represented online as bronze and wood and priced as if they were, $1400 to $2400 and they have sold, so be careful.
I am representing this beautiful, vintage piece honestly for what it is, an exquisitely designed accent table in any home.
The original surface finish of this cast sculpture looks great. This elephant table has been cleaned and polished and embellished with accents in a highly realistic, lustrous gold paint that gives it an elegant flourish. It has a circular round glass table top with no cracks but some small scratches.
Would make an amazing accent piece next to a classic, comfy, leather arm chair. less
