Vintage mid-century pair of sculptural travertine step side tables with walnut frames and top. The wood parts have been refinished back to their original glory and are ready to last another lifetime. The travertine is in excellent shape. These tables were made in the 1950's by Gordon's Fine Furniture of Tennessee, they still have the metal tags on the bottom and the travertine is stamped Made in Italy. Some say they were designed by Bertha Schaefer for Singer & Sons but that appears to be incorrect. Regardless of who designed them they are an excellent design from the mid-century period that brings together wood and travertine stone for an elegant and sculptural look. Very cool side tables ready to be placed in the room of your choosing.
