This is an antique planter stand. A Chinese, rosewood and marble jardiniere stand or lamp table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Of squat proportion and profusely carved
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select carved stocks present deep russet hues
Raised circular top accentuated with a rouge marble inlay
Tasteful gadrooned edge to the top with quartered surround
Pierced fretwork adorns the shoulder, with scrolled foliate decor
