This work was acquired through a live auction in NJ, with the only provenance being an estate liquidation in Florida. It measures 16" x 20" H unframed and 23 1/2" x 27 1/2" framed. The painting is attached to the black mat-board.

"Carlos Mérida (December 2, 1891 – December 21, 1985) was a Guatemalan artist who was one of the first to fuse European modern painting to Latin American themes, especially those related to Guatemala and Mexico.
