Description: The plate depicts the subject of "The Triumph of Virtue" with Athena, the patron goddess of Athens, recognized as the … more The plate depicts the subject of "The Triumph of Virtue" with Athena, the patron goddess of Athens, recognized as the goddess of wisdom and crafts, with her helmet, surrounded by eight believers. Athena is depicted as the moral guardian who drives out vices from the garden. The background shows many of the city's Greek buildings, some with columns, a large central monument and citizens. A cherub (Cupid or Eros) flies among the birds above the stage.

On the back of the plate is the stamp “95% ESTANHO PURO”, which translated from Portuguese means “96% PURE TIN”
