These are a quite wonderful pair of 'Roaring Lion" bookends. I love their bared teeth! Made from brass they each sit on top of a rosewood base. This pair are quite heavy and would therefore comfortably support the largest of books in your collection!
Another interesting fact is that these bookends were sourced at the "Sony Prop House" in Los Angeles (which closed down in September 2023). It's worn over time but one can vaguely see a Sony bar code sticker which has been stuck underneath one of the figures. If you think you may have seen these in a film or T.V. show then you probably have!
They each measure: 3 5/8" (W) x 4 7/8" (D) x 7 3/4" (H) They EACH weigh 3lbs 5oz
