Description: George III Period Secretary Bookcase. Two Door Base on splayed feet features solid doors with oval focal point, stinging, mitered … more George III Period Secretary Bookcase. Two Door Base on splayed feet features solid doors with oval focal point, stinging, mitered pieces and cross banding. Doors open to reveal two pull out shelves and have a locking mechanism and rounded escutcheons. Faux top drawer of base drops on crescent shaped brass brackets that support a gilt tooled secretaire flap. Nine drawers with blonde wood fronts and nine pigeon hole compartments provide storage. Upper two door bookcase with broken swan neck pediment, Chippendale style molding and molded dental features three adjustable shelves behind the 30 paned glass door fronts separated by glassing bars.
