I am delighted to offer for sale this sublime nest or four (4) original Chinese lacquered nesting tables with dragon carved feet & gold leaf detailing. Each table decorated with traditional scenes with figures in various pursuits bordered by flowers, insects & auspicious symbols. All four tables have been cleaned and the finishes touched up beautifully but NOT refinished - which would damage the beautiful & elegant design. Hand painted. Chinoiserie. Very Mario Buatta.
Made for Export C. 1880 to 1890.
