Exquisitely hand carved in the early 19th century, gessoed, water gilded finish with remarkable rich warmth, depth, and brilliant gold tone, over an elegant, sophisticated and luxurious Neoclassical inspired sculptural form, featuring flowering urn, ribbon swag drapery with tassels, pierced rosette medallion, and intricate fiolate carvings, framing the original oval mirror plate.

Condition Report:
Overall very attractive appearance and delicate decoration; nicely aged warm distressed patina. Wear consistent with age, including minor losses throughout, especially to gilding exposing gesso, with subsequent professional restoration. The mirror having a highly desirable scar to the upper left. Overall an outstanding example, that presents very well, and is sure to become a focal point of any room! See less
