The name is derived from the fact that it separates … more Magnificent antique 19th century carved walnut French buffet deux corps. The name is derived from the fact that it separates into two pieces for transport. This example has exceptionally fine detailed carvings. There is a beveled glass door in the center of the top flanked ion each side by a smaller carved door. The interior will accommodate a single shelf which was not acquired with the piece. We will have one made for the new owner. Two carved columns support the frame that holds the top and provides a nice large open area for serving. The base has two wide dovetailed drawers above a full width double door cabinet with single interior adjustable shelf. The lower shelf is there it’s just laying all the way at the bottom. Excellent condition. This hutch has been well preserved and cared for. The two small finials at the top are most likely replaced and do not have to be used as they are easily removable. The finials add 3” to the overall height making it 97” tall when used. less
