Tivoli, a picturesque city situated on the western slopes of the Sabine Hills, was the place that the Ancient Rome’s elite choose to enjoy the pleasant life in the countryside, in their wealthy residences. Among this magnificence, in the river next to the city, was hidden a treasure, the oldest and most famous Travertine marble, a natural stone present throughout the history of Italian architecture, both as a building material and decoration, that gave us the splendour of the Colosseum. Ivan Colominas pays tribute to the generosity and history of this exquisite stone, in his new collection that evokes the gem of Tivoli. Tables, together with stool, vases and centerpieces.
