Ernst geissler (1915-1989) was a german-american aerospace engineer. After the second world war, he went to the united states in 1945, where he became director of the aerospace division of nasa's marshall space flight center in 1960.
wernher von braun was a german and later american engineer (1912-1977) who was one of the main engineers behind the german v2 rockets,
he took part in the mercury and gemini manned spaceflight programs. When the apollo program was launched by u.s. President john f. Kennedy in 1961, von braun took charge of the design of the giant saturn v rocket, which was to play a key role in the success of the american lunar missions.
ernst stuhlinger, (1913-2008 )on january 31, 1958, he took part in the launch into orbit of the first american artificial satellite, explorer 1.
from 1960 to 1968, he was director of the space sciences laboratory at nasa's marshall space flight center in huntsville. Here he worked on ionic propulsion. During this period, he participated in the development of the saturn v rocket used for the apollo program.
