Description: A striking beautifully detailed gentleman’s shaving stand or standing vanity. A tall piece (at 66 inches) with a small footprint. … more A striking beautifully detailed gentleman’s shaving stand or standing vanity. A tall piece (at 66 inches) with a small footprint. May have been made as early as the late 1800’s. Great for a small space, especially near an exterior door for a quick survey of hair/makeup/teeth appearance before heading out into public. One small wooden dovetailed drawer is just below the main surface to hold keys, make up, sunglasses, etc. A small shelf is below for a decorative item, perhaps a plant. The beveled mirror is surrounded by a Greek key patterned brass frame, and the mirror is reversible. Behind the mirror is a beautifully decorated textured brass panel. The drawer hardware consists of two lion heads, each biting their end of the handle. The brass legs have splayed claw feet at the bottom- perhaps modeled after bird feet. All in all a beautiful piece- very unique, and the size will fit into any space, including the smallest. Perfect for a traditional, gothic, or castlecore abode. less
