This 2001 ultra-modern leather chaise lounge from Italy clearly has its design roots going back to Le Corbusier’s (together with Charlotte Perriand) masterpiece as well as giving a nod to 1970s “space-age” modern design. We just couldn’t resist when we had the opportunity to acquire this example.

Created by premier leather furniture maker, Poltrona Frau, this chaise lounge is built with only the highest quality materials and constructed to last a lifetime. It is signed with an embossed signature logo to the underside leather.

Engineered from the ground up, this chaise is heavy and remarkably balanced. With its superb ergonomic design, relax with a good book, an iPad or just catch some zzzs. Also, attention to fine art/beauty/fashion photographers/artists; would be awesome in the studio. It has 3 easily movable/removable supports (under the main cushion as in lumbar etc; see photo) to allow for a “customized fit”. We believe other models of this chaise were available with optional electronic features; ours does NOT (thankfully)! We were fortunate to acquire a simple and pure example without any gadgetry.

The chaise lounge is overall in very good condition. The glove-soft supple leather is excellent with only a few minor scattered scuffs/marks and some natural wrinkling/creasing. It also has small abrasions at the corners (see photos). The aluminum pedestal base legs have some minor surface scuffs/scratches. All in all very minimal wear showing.
