Therefore, there are some losses/stains/marks/scratches to the TOP surfaces graphics. But it really doesn’t take away anything as the whole design is meant to look old. Other areas show some minor scattered nicks/scuffs/marks/minor fading etc. But again, nothing that really detracts. Otherwise they are in very nice (and stable) shape. The iron stands are in near perfect condition. less

We don’t know the maker but they are of the quality and creativity of similar creations by Maitland-Smith, including the iron stands. We also like the classical-music themed graphics that remind us of legendary Fornasetti products and designs which are extremely desirable.
What we do know is this: we wanted them. And we’re sure designers/decorators will agree. They are a nice medium size/scale, low/smallish and we can see them in a hall/ foyer or dining/ living room perhaps on either side of a doorway.
As to the creative methods used here, again we’re not quite sure. The graphics are somehow printed or applied to all surfaces of the chests. Overall this matching pair of chests-on-stands have been well cared for, with exception to the tops of the chests which may have been subjected to uses not intended for. Therefore, there are some losses/stains/marks/scratches to the TOP surfaces graphics. But it really doesn’t take away anything as the whole design is meant to look old. Other areas show some minor scattered nicks/scuffs/marks/minor fading etc. But again, nothing that really detracts. Otherwise they are in very nice (and stable) shape. The iron stands are in near perfect condition.
Superior quality construction throughout these examples. The welded and black-enameled iron stands are precise and impressive. The chests are heavy and made with thick solid materials throughout. Hinges and lids operate perfectly and the chests fit comfortably (inset) into the stands.
