This ink on paper drawing was inspired by memories of learning how to whistle as a boy. There is a famous painting by an impressionist painter, George Seurat, with a character who is whistling.
Drawing with ink is so freeing. I'm drawn to a variety of subjects, but people interest me. I enjoy watching the world go by, and imagining how each person lives. I wonder what this boy is thinking as he whistles his tune.
