The interior of the book is in good condition and the prints are very good .

The binding of this large book is OK . Introduction by Willard Vogt.
These prints were first publisher by Audubon from 1827 to 1830. The colors in this Macmillan edition are beautiful reproductions of the 1827 - 1830 original plates. Transcript of the legends of the original plates with a note concerning them. Index of Common Names. A 1944 printing of the 1937 issuance. A re-creation of Mr. Audubon's landmark work (first published 1827-1830) in a quarto-sized edition. With 435 plates bearing Audubon's detailed full-color images of a wide range of bird species, as presented in his original portfolio. With introduction and descriptive captions by William Vogt.
