The book features the original personal polaroid photographic artwork of the multi media artist, photographer, designer, stylist, and extraordinary unique creative force in the 1980's downtown New York City club, fashion, culture and art scene, photographed from 1977 - 19990.

Maripol is credited the original iconic visual trend setting style of Madonna as he came on to the scene in the early 1980's. She not only styled Madonna and created her look, she also designed and created all the original accessories worn by Madonna that became iconic international trends as well.

Maripol used her polaroid camera to document and chronicle her iconic group of close friends and creative collaborators including Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, jean Michel Basquiat, Madonna, Grace Jones, Debbie Harry, Kenny Scarf, Sade, Jean Paul Gautier among others.

This rare 1st edition hardcover collector's book feature a very personal collected vision of her polaroid inside expose and highly creative coverage of this outstanding moment in time of these now famous iconic creative figures. Introduction by Glenn O' Brien, recollection by Anna Sui, and afterword by Diego Cortez.
