Description: A silver tea set with a teapot, sugar bowl and a milk jug in an oval shape with a scalloped … more A silver tea set with a teapot, sugar bowl and a milk jug in an oval shape with a scalloped pattern and is lightly hammered. Very elegant. It is silver marked 830s, which suggests that it is scandinavian silver (norway). In 1892, the silver fineness was standardized at .830 and the 830s mark became mandatory in norway. After 1906 and before 1953 it was imported to the netherlands and it is hall marked with the dutch silver hall mark "v" for foreign works, the tax stamp and as well as the dutch silver hall mark "zii" for the silver purity 835/000 (this hall mark used after 1953)
there is no makers mark.
the silver teapot measures 12 cm high, 21 cm wide and the depth is 12.5 cm the sugarpot is 7.5 cm high, 12.5 cm wide and the depth is 8 cm. The milk jug is 6 cm high, 10.5 cm wide and the depth is 6.5 cm. The total weight is 478 grams less
