Two bold stiles divide the back into three compartments, each one with four narrow splats. Instead of a lifting seat, here the storage is comprised of a deep hand-cut dovetailed drawer which runs the length of the bench and opens on original ceramic knobs. The later worn blue paintwork is decorated with folk art floral motifs and a white panel on the seat wherein the theme is repeated. less
