They are the result of past experiences yet the keeper of future projects. The purpose of andreabonini edizioni? To tell a story through the use of materials between tangent reality and the world of dreams. Andrea Bonini seizes every detail that strikes his attention with a critical eye. A still image, imprinted in the mind, which becomes an idea through a process of mental elaboration and a fusion of scenarios. The cultural background in which Bonini was born is characterized by the timeless charm of a precious combination of two materials that enhance each other: metal and marble. His is a family of metal artisans for several generations and Bonini was born in a landscape which is the cradle of marble extraction and processing. The deep knowledge of these two fascinating and natural elements leads him to often insert them in his works; he prefers them in their authentic finishes and shades, sometimes raw or with their natural imperfections, typical of this material. Adopted by the city of Milan; here he gains his first success and initiates important collaborations. Bonini listens and follows the artistic trails left by his masters; from Carlo Scarpa to Franco Albini and Christian Liaigre. Andrea Bonini is sensitive and concentrated, with meticulous commitment he follows every phase of his products and his interiors; he is personally active in dealing with the craftsmen and his sharp pencil captures any variation or improvement. During his career he chooses to design for companies with high artisanal criteria; the same intention is reflected in his interior projects, attention to every detail with a sartorial approach recognizable on the international scene. Bonini has successfully completed and is currently working on projects in Italy, China, the United Kingdom and the French Riviera. To date, his studio atelier is located in Milan in via Montenapoleone, core of Italian excellence. It is a small yet refined ambience; a boutique with contemporary taste. Here his pencil gives life to all his projects, elaborated in every detail together with his team, producing a strongly recognisable and prestigious result. less
