Antique Extremely Rare “Mom and Pop” Chairs, Birdseye Maple, Ladder-back with woven split oak seats (per my purchase receipt). Mid to late 1800’s
-The clean, classic lines of their design allows them to blend with many interior decor styles: European Farmhouse, Traditional, Transitional, Ranch, French Country, Boho, Country, Rustic High-Country, or eclectic Modern look.
--Purchased from Round Top from The Stitching Post, John and Carolyn Heiden.
I have never seen a pair of Mom and Pop Chairs together, and certainly NOT in Birdseye Maple.
They must be sold as a pair.
-Labeled “Mom and Pop” because one is slightly smaller than the other, believed to be made for a husband and wife.
I have owned these for 30 years and never let people sit in them to preserve them. :)
-Very sturdy and quite comfortable .
-The Heidens believed they were made in New England during the mid to late 1800’s.
-Kept in an a/c, very clean, non-smoking home.
-Timeless design
